Agreement concluded with Saitama Prefecture on crime prevention urban development
Urawa Red Diamonds Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that on Thursday, January 30th, in order to contribute to creating a city where local residents can live in peace, it signed the following "Agreement on Crime Prevention Town Development" with Saitama Prefecture and the Saitama Prefectural Police.
We will work together to create a safe and secure society where crime is not tolerated, by holding crime prevention events within the prefecture and raising awareness of crime prevention in the community.
1. Purpose and Background of the Agreement
While the number of criminal offenses reported in Saitama Prefecture has dropped significantly since its peak in 2004, crimes familiar to prefectural residents such as burglary and bicycle theft, as well as special fraud targeting elderly people and cases of perpetrators calling out to children and women, are still occurring frequently. Therefore, in order to protect children, women, elderly people, etc. from crime victimization and to prevent frequent crimes familiar to the lives of prefectural residents, businesses, Saitama Prefecture, and the Saitama Prefectural Police will work together to effectively promote crime prevention town development and realize a safe and secure life for prefectural residents.
The main contents of the agreement are as follows:
1. Initiatives based on the Crime Prevention Town Development Declaration
2. Report crimes or suspicious people to the police
3. Report to the police if you find children, elderly people, or other people in need of protection.
4. Affixing security stickers to vehicles and business premises
