Third year summary
In 2023, our third year, we will continue and develop the initiatives of the past two years and also take on new actions.
In terms of continuation and development, we invited 150 children and their families who use the children's cafeterias at Heartful Care to Saitama Stadium, and we expanded the number of children's cafeterias where we deliver relief supplies from 35 to 40 at REDS Santa, and the number of presents for children from 1,050 to 1,200. We received warm support of 836,963 yen from fans and supporters for our activity fundraising collaboration with Red Feather.
We also took on a new action: reducing food waste.
As the first step, we launched a food drive in collaboration with Meiji Yasuda, Saitama Prefecture, Saitama City, and others.
The fourth year (2024)
In our fourth year, as in the past, we will continue to work on continuity and development (creating sustainable systems) and on new actions.
Our new action is to support people with disabilities. We would like to carry out activities that utilize the strengths of our J-League club, our "power to communicate" and "power to involve."
The issues facing the region are diverse and cannot be resolved overnight.
However, we will continue to hold our fingers high in the hopes of resolving and alleviating these issues, so we ask for your continued support and cooperation.
Our company is promoting two major projects: the "Everyone's Health Project" to support health promotion, and the "Local Vitality Project" to bring vitality to the local community.
The activities of "Kono Yubi TomaREDS!" coincide with our company's desire to promote the "Local Vitality Project," so we decided to collaborate with them on this food drive activity.
Many Urawa Reds partner companies and RBC member companies donated food, which was then delivered to local children's cafeterias and food pantries, bringing smiles to the faces of children. We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who helped us.
We hope to continue working together to solve problems in Saitama Prefecture!
As a new activity for "Kono Yubi TomaREDS!", we held a "food drive" in collaboration with Urawa Reds Reds and Meiji Yasuda. A "food drive" is an activity where people bring surplus food from their homes and donate it to food banks, which not only helps reduce food waste, but also supports local children and people in poverty.
I believe that the "Sustainable Day" held last October was a fun opportunity for participants to learn and think about the SDGs as something that concerns them personally through the teams they supported.
By further expanding the circle of "Konoyubi," Saitama Prefecture will continue to work together with us to make this a more vibrant and prosperous region.
