Initiatives for SDGs by Urawa Reds
Urawa Reds has been working to solve social issues through match management, hometown activities, operation of Heart-full Club and Reds Land since the MDGs (Millennium Development Goals) before the SDGs. As a J.League club that is deeply involved in great sports, we will work together with our partner, Friends of the United Nations Asia-Pacific (hereinafter referred to as "Friends of the United Nations AP"), to further promote the role we should play. We will work on the “Urawa Reds SDGs”.
The core of the "Urawa Reds SDGs" initiative is, as stated in Urawa Reds' philosophy, "to convey the excitement and joy of sports such as football, to foster a culture in which sports are part of everyday life, and to promote the development of the next generation. We will create prosperous communities and societies toward our goals.” Strongly promoting the SDGs also means realizing our philosophy.

About composite logos
We have created a composite logo with SPORTS FOR PEACE! (hereinafter “SFP”) to express the “Urawa Reds Reds SDGs” that we are strongly promoting and the core idea. This composite logo has three elements: ``We will contribute to the community and society through soccer,'' ``Each person is a diamond,'' and ``(with the primrose, the flower of Saitama City in Saitama Prefecture), together with the community, for the community.'' I put my thoughts into it.
"Urawa Reds Reds SDGs" will be active with this composite logo.
About the definition of SPORTS FOR PEACE!
We exchanged views with Friends of the United Nations AP on the definition of SFP, and agreed that all community and social contributions made by Urawa Reds are SFP and lead to SDGs.
Regarding the 4 SFP items so far, we will continue with the "SPORTS FOR PEACE! Project" as a particularly important initiative among the "Urawa Reds SDGs".
Urawa Reds SDGs Priority Issues
“For all people to be rich in mind and body”
Urawa Reds has been involved in activities such as the SFP Project, Heart-full Club, Women's Team, and Reds Land management. To everyone" and "5. Let's achieve gender equality", and in the future, we will constantly check and further improve these, so that we can contribute to the local community and everyone involved with Urawa Reds. We would like to contribute to the SDGs as a club that can provide richness in mind and body.
“Sustainable Stadiums and Towns”
It is the foundation for the club's philosophy of "conveying the excitement and joy of sports such as soccer, fostering a culture in which sports are part of everyday life, and creating a prosperous community and society for the next generation." Without a rich earth, we cannot even play sports. Recognizing that tackling environmental issues is an issue of high urgency, we are fully committed to “12. We would like to contribute to the development of towns.
“Empathy and co-creation collaboration with the Reds family”
Urawa Reds has many friends and Reds family. By working together with fans, supporters, partners, hometowns, and everyone involved with Urawa Reds to work together to achieve the SDGs, we will be able to solve more and more problems. And I believe that in the future beyond that, a sustainable and prosperous world awaits us, where we can enjoy Urawa Reds, soccer and sports forever. Together with Urawa Reds family, we aim to achieve the SDGs through a strong partnership.
Going forward, each and every player and staff member will of course do their best to achieve this priority issue, but we will also work hand in hand with the many fans and supporters who walk with us, as well as all of our stakeholders. We will do our utmost to achieve the SDGs.
