[With Mr. Ikeda's explanation! 3 level-up plays from Sections 26 to 30]

<岩尾 憲>

“Mr. Ikeda, thank you for choosing me for Level Up.
Before receiving the ball from Marius (Heubraten), I checked the situation on the opposite side and was able to stop the ball in a good spot at the right time.
I am always conscious of stopping the ball in a good spot and stopping it where the opponent can't reach it.

The moment I made the trap, I saw (Hiroki) Sakai start running.
After closely watching the opponent's response to Sakai's running, I thought I would be able to pass the ball without getting caught by the defensive line, and I was able to take advantage of Sakai's speed to receive the pass.
Sakai's actions are very easy to understand, which is helpful.

I think I've been able to make several good passes like this throughout the year.
I have this as a weapon.

My advice to the children is that if you don't place the ball in a good place, you won't be able to move smoothly into the next movement.
The quality of the kick is noticed, but the front of the kick is very important.
How much space is there in the back? who is running? It is very important to check.
For example, it will be difficult to kick a fast ball into space against a player who is not very fast. I think it's important to understand the characteristics of your teammates and choose the best type of pass, whether it's a long ball or a short pass.''

< Takuya Ogiwara >

“Thank you for choosing me for Level Up Play.
We were down by one player and had a long stoppage time, but before I made the interception, I knew from my experience that the opponent's pass would be weaker in situations like this, so I decided to try to intercept it. I was able to succeed.
After making the interception, I focused on moving forward, and although I was ultimately stopped by a foul, I think it was a good play that allowed me to make the most of my abilities and help the team.

An interception is a play that can never be made without good position and prediction.
An interception is a play that carries the risk of getting behind the ball, so what I want to tell the children is that it's okay to fail and get behind the ball, so I want them to take on the challenge.
I also want him to keep moving forward and not fall down easily even if he is fouled, which I have been conscious of since I was little.

< Tomoaki Okubo >

"Thank you for choosing to play with me.
I had talked with Hiroki Sakai about playing it as a two-person team at close range, and I always knew when Sakai would pass, so Yasui (Kaito) and Ito (Atsuki) I had confirmed the location in advance. Ito wasn't able to get behind the ball, so I saw Yasui's movement and made a pass.
I think the success of this play was because I was able to communicate with Sakai on a daily basis and was able to see the movements of my teammates in advance. I'm also glad that I was able to score points.

What I want the children to be aware of is that it is important to understand the situation around them and the positions of their teammates before receiving a pass, so please try to understand the situation before receiving a pass.
