Regarding Sustainable Day for the match against Kashiwa on Wednesday, August 7th
The match against Kashiwa Reysol on Wednesday, August 7th [Meiji Yasuda x J.League Partnership 10th Anniversary Match] will be called "Sustainable Day", as it was last year, and various initiatives related to the SDGs will be implemented.
Let's create a prosperous community and society for future generations, and use Sustainable Day as an opportunity to think again about environmental issues and "sustainable stadiums and cities," and work together to create a sustainable future!
Initiative Introduction
Urawa Reds SDGs
About the "SPORTS FOR PEACE! x Urawa Reds SDGs" initiative
"Circular Economy Booth"
Starting in the 2023 season, we have been conducting circular economy demonstration experiments with Saitama Prefecture and partners to promote the separation of PET bottles, and the separation rate for PET bottles at the end of the 2023 season reached approximately 70%. With the "Sustainable Day" as an opportunity, we aim to increase this separation rate to approximately 80% by the end of this season, and we would like all fans and supporters to continue to cooperate with the separation and collection of plastic bottles, while also raising environmental awareness through Urawa Reds home games.
At this match, we will also be exhibiting a "Circular Economy Booth" to allow people to get a feel for the circular economy that Urawa Reds are working on.

There will also be a workshop where you can make items such as tops and carabiners using plastic bottle caps.

Sustainable amusement park "Human-powered mini steam locomotive" and "Human-powered elephant balloon"
This event allows you to have fun at a human-powered attraction and experience the energy needed to generate electricity.
(1) Human-powered mini steam locomotive
This mini steam locomotive (for 4-5 people under elementary school age) is powered by five pedal-operated generators.

(2) Human-powered elephant balloon
A single foot-operated generator generates electricity to inflate a giant elephant balloon that is almost the same size as the life-size elephant.
Most of the elephants on earth are designated as "endangered species." Let's think about the richness of the land together.

Collection of small home appliances
In order to reduce "non-burnable waste" and extend the life of final disposal sites, Saitama City began installing collection boxes for small household appliances on January 6, 2014. By handing over the collected small household appliances to nationally certified businesses (recycling businesses), the city is contributing to the proper disposal of waste and the domestic circulation of useful metals.
*Please check the website below beforehand to see if it can be collected and important points to note.

Let's have fun sorting plastic bottles into three categories! Saitama Star Label Art
As part of the circular economy demonstration experiment, we are promoting the three-category separation of PET bottles, with the aim of raising the separation rate to approximately 80%, and will be creating "label art" using the separated labels.
We will peel off the label from the plastic bottle you bring and paste it onto a transparent backing without leaving any gaps, making certain letters appear.
We will also be holding a "Cap Lottery" using plastic bottle caps, so please help us by separating your plastic bottles into three categories and creating label art!
