<August 11th (Sunday, National Holiday) Match Day>
After the match ended, the person subject to disciplinary action requested security staff A to stop other visitors from taking photographs. As the photographs in question may have been a "photography that is a nuisance to others" prohibited by the J.League, security staff A went to check. Security staff B took over from security staff A, but the person subject to disciplinary action punched him in the shoulder out of dissatisfaction with the response.
Immediately after the incident occurred, based on a report from security staff A, security staff C and our club security staff interviewed and discussed with the person subject to disciplinary action and security staff B. The person subject to disciplinary action admitted to the act for which disciplinary action was taken and apologized to security staff B, who accepted the apology and the matter was resolved.
After that, the club's competition management staff and the club's security staff once again questioned the person who was the subject of the disciplinary action. They informed him that there was a very high possibility that he would be subject to disciplinary action, and after confirming his personal information, it was confirmed that he lived in a remote area and was elderly. However, regardless of whether he was disciplined or not, they agreed to come to the club office at a later date if requested, and then the matter was dismissed.
<August 12th (Monday/Shinkyu) - August 15th (Thursday)>
Based on the results of questioning of those subject to disciplinary action and interviews with security staff, the Competition Management Headquarters will compare the matter with the "Urawa Red Diamonds Soccer Match Management Regulations" and the "J.League Match Management Penalty Regulations" and then deliberate the matter within the Competition Management Headquarters to determine a disciplinary policy.
Following this decision, the Compliance Committee will convene on Friday, August 16th, the earliest possible date given the committee members' schedules, to make a final decision on the club's disciplinary measures.
<Friday, August 16>
A compliance committee meeting was held and the above disciplinary measures were decided.
<Thursday, August 22>
The disciplinary measures will be communicated to the individual(s) subject to the disciplinary action in person on the same day, which is the earliest possible date given the schedules of both the individual(s) and the club's competition management staff, and a written memorandum of agreement will be obtained from the individual(s) subject to the disciplinary action.
We sincerely apologize for not being able to prevent this violation of the match management regulations from occurring.
Following the incident that occurred at Saitama Stadium on Saturday, July 20th, we take very seriously the fact that two violations have occurred within a short period of time.
In August of last year, Urawa Reds became involved in an incident that caused a great deal of inconvenience to many people, and has since set forth and implemented six measures to prevent recurrence. We will continue to work diligently on measures such as "re-establishing communication with fans and supporters," "thoroughly publicizing the spectating rules, including prohibited items at the stadium," and "taking timely, appropriate and firm action against violators (including immediate expulsion)."
