Post-match comments
Mihailo Petrovic
(Manager)
- "We have had a hard time in past matches against Kofu. In the past, we have had many draws against Kofu. We knew well before the match how strong-willed and hard Kofu would fight today.
Looking back on today's game, I'm not satisfied with the first half. With the opponent playing defensively, I think we may have made too many lateral passes today. Connecting lateral passes is good, but we didn't make effective vertical passes. I think we were lacking in making effective vertical passes to the three players in front, and in creating numerical superiority from the back to break down the opponent's defense in today's game.
In the second half, we started to show some of the things we lacked in the first half. With about 20 minutes left in the second half, we increased the tempo, made some vertical passes, and took some risks to attack from the back, which allowed us to score two goals.
I think Kofu played a great game today. I'm not a coach who is satisfied with just winning. Today's game was very frustrating. Many of the opposing teams play defensively against us, like today. However, we have shown that we can break down opponents and score goals and win against such opponents by playing our own way. However, today's game was frustrating, even though we won.
Our next match is against Gamba Osaka, but I think that a game like today's is very bad. I think that the supporters really supported the players in this difficult game. I think that their voices encouraged the players to increase the tempo and play aggressively in the last 20 minutes. I would like to thank the supporters who supported the players until the end today, even in this unsuccessful game.

- "Unfortunately, we were unable to produce a result today. I am extremely disappointed with our fans and supporters. First of all, I must apologize for this situation.
In the game, we organized our thoughts about how to fight against a very strong Urawa team in this series of matches, and I feel that the players were able to fight as a team. We showed a fighting spirit throughout the 90 minutes, and I think this is a game that we need to carry over to the next one.
However, the reality is that we haven't been able to get results despite playing that kind of game. In particular, in terms of scoring, we had three decisive chances towards the end of the game but were unable to convert them. Or, we had to score in the flow of set plays in the first half, so I think that if we don't score, we won't get the three points.
However, the players are showing their determination to fight even in these difficult circumstances. We will prepare again with the determination to play a game that we can enjoy together with our supporters."
