On August 6, Urawa Reds went on the road to My Dinh National Stadium to face MD6 Hanoi FC in the AFC Champions League 2023/24 group stage.

The Reds players went on the offensive from the outset in their quest for victory, and although Alexander Scholz failed to convert a penalty kick in the 6th minute, they continued to dominate the ball and tried to break down Hanoi FC's defense, using their numbers to eliminate space.

Kaito Yasui The first half ended scoreless, with Hanoi FC and Alex Schalk actively trying to score a goal, but were unable to get a goal.

It's frustrating. The fact that the ACL (AFC Champions League) ended here is so damaging that it is difficult to put into words. There were many scenes today that were a waste of time, and I wanted to cover them. There were many scenes that were a waste of time today, and we wanted to cover them.

(There were some changes in the team members from the J-League, but was it difficult to play away from home against Hanoi FC?)
(Did you find it difficult to play away from home against Hanoi FC?) "There were some changes in the way our opponents defended, so I felt before the game that it would be difficult. They were defending in a way that we are not good at, so I thought it would not be so easy to win. We had chances in the first half, but it was important to stay calm and make decisions in the flow of the game, and we conceded a goal from a CK that we usually don't get hit by. Even with the change in roles, the players on the field had to be solid, and I wanted to play the ball and take a second action, but the opponent was quicker. I would have liked to have played more to save the team."

(Is there anything you wish you could have sorted out from the back?)
(Is there anything you wish you could have organized from the back? I think we should have been more calm and connected the ball higher and made side changes to move the other team's two lines better. I think we rushed forward a little too much, but I respect that because it was the result of a challenge. In terms of defense, we were afraid of counterattacks, but I think we did a good job of risk management. I think the way we were beaten by the goal was a waste of time.

(It will be a difficult task to change your mind from here, but how are you feeling about the FIFA Club World Cup?)
We will be able to compete in the FIFA Club World Cup because we won the Asia Cup, so we will be confident in our ability to compete in that competition. I hope to bring a good result.
