ACL Group Stage MD6 vs Hanoi FC “Unable to win the final match of the group stage”
On August 6, Urawa Reds went on the road to My Dinh National Stadium to face MD6 Hanoi FC in the AFC Champions League 2023/24 group stage.
The Reds dominated the match from the first half, but lost a goal from a set piece early in the second half. Bryan Linssen The Reds caught up with Hanoi FC with a goal by Kwon Jung, but conceded a goal on a penalty kick at the end of the second half to lose the match 1-2.
The Reds players went on the offensive from the outset in their quest for victory, and although Alexander Scholz failed to convert a penalty kick in the 6th minute, they continued to dominate the ball and tried to break down Hanoi FC's defense, using their numbers to eliminate space.

In the second half, Tomoaki Okubo and Atsuki Ito took the pitch in place of Ken Iwao and Yoshio Koizumi to try to win the game. However, in the 53rd minute, the visitors took the lead from a penalty kick.
In the 60th minute, Jose Kante and Takahiro Sekine replaced Alex Schalk and Ekanit Panya on the pitch. With the aggressive substitutions, they first tried to score an equalizer.
