Horiuchi visits his alma mater, Ebinuma Elementary School, as “Reds Sensei”
On the 7th, Yota Horiuchi visited his alma mater, Saitama City Ebinuma Elementary School, and interacted with the children of the Challenge School.
Horiuchi, a graduate of Ebinuma Elementary School, spoke about his dreams as ``Reds Sensei'' to the Challenge School children gathered in the gymnasium.
``It's important to keep your dreams alive, and as you grow into an adult, your dreams will become your source of vitality. I believe that by working hard towards your dreams, you will have a much more enjoyable school life. He told the children, ``Please try your best so that you don't waste each day.'' When asked how they overcame hardships or setbacks, they answered, ``When you feel frustrated or things don't go well, Please go back to your roots once again and remember what you want to do and who you want to be. I think if you can take on challenges, you will be able to grow even more."
When asked about what is most important to him right now, he answered, ``It's a feeling of gratitude.I want you to never forget that even when you grow up.No matter how hard you work, if you don't feel grateful to those around you, people won't be able to do it.'' I feel like I can't grow. Everyone, please cherish the feelings of ``thank you'' and ``sorry,'' and ``take care of things.''
He concluded with the words, ``I want you to enjoy your school life to the fullest and keep striving for your dreams,'' and then handed each student a signed clear file folder as they left the gymnasium.
``Reds Sensei'' is an activity carried out for children in our hometown based on the activity policy of Urawa Reds philosophy of ``contributing to the healthy development of young people as members of society.'' By interacting with local children, we will help them feel closer to the club and players, and we will continue to send out messages with the aim of giving children dreams, hope, and courage.
