Regarding traffic accident involving a player
On Thursday, October 31st, Ayumu Ohata, a member of our club, was involved in an accident while driving a car in Saitama Prefecture, where he collided with a car parked on the side of the road.
There was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit and they have been taken to the hospital by ambulance.
We would like to offer our deepest apologies to those injured in the accident and pray for a speedy recovery.
We would also like to offer our sincere apologies to all those involved for the inconvenience caused by this incident.

3. Overview of the Accident
While Ohata was driving a car, he got lost and was distracted by the car navigation screen, which caused him to lose focus on the road ahead and caused him to collide with a car parked on the side of the road.
A passenger in the vehicle that was hit complained of pain in his leg and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Afterwards, Ohata was present during the police investigation at the scene.
Ohata was not injured.
Urawa Reds will give Ohata a stern warning and will continue to take thorough measures to ensure road safety, including issuing renewed warnings to all players and club personnel to prevent a recurrence of this kind of incident.
