Segawa visits Urawa Special Needs School

First, Segawa and the children exchanged passes using the ball. Every time a pass was exchanged between the players and the children, cheers erupted and the venue became very lively.

Next, there was a Q&A session with the children, who asked questions such as "What are the tips for being a goalkeeper?", "How much do you usually practice?" and "What's your favorite food?" Segawa answered each question carefully, deepening his relationship with the children.
In response to the question, "What is the appeal of Urawa Reds?" he answered, "The best supporters in Japan and the passionate Saitama Stadium." In response to the question, "How can I become better at soccer?" he replied, "The important thing is to enjoy soccer, so just enjoy playing," which elicited thunderous applause from the audience.

Afterwards, Segawa presented the representative children with a soccer ball commemorating their victory in the ACL (AFC Champions League 2022), as well as original stationery and a banner flag signed by the players as a graduation gift.

Even though they only had a short time, they spent the whole time interacting with many children, all with smiles on their faces, and ended their school visit with a commemorative photo taken with the sixth graders.

"These kinds of activities give me an opportunity to get to know the city of Urawa, so I want to continue to participate proactively in the future and liven up the city of Urawa so that I can live up to everyone's expectations. Cheering at the stadium is of course a great source of energy, but interacting with the children through school visits gives me my own energy. I'll do my best to live up to everyone's expectations."

"Thank you to Segawa for visiting our school even though it was during the season. The children were given limitless energy by interacting with Segawa and seeing his wonderful smile, and it has become a wonderful memory. All of us teachers and staff will never forget Segawa's wonderful smile and will continue to move forward. Thank you very much. We are REDS!"
