HOME TOWN
Soccer Town Urawa
Saitama soccer has a history of over 100 years.
In 1908 (Meiji 41), a soccer club was established at the former Saitama Normal School, and students who learned soccer were sent to elementary and junior high schools throughout the prefecture as teachers, and the seeds of a soccer kingdom were sown.
After that, in the high school generation, Saitama Prefecture representatives won national championships one after another, so it was said that "whoever wins Saitama wins the world." In addition, many junior high school and elementary school students have also won national championships.
Urawa Red Diamonds was born 84 years after football was introduced to Urawa Reds, along with the J. As a sign of this, the Hoshokaku, the former Saitama Normal School building, is drawn on the emblem.
Urawa Reds carries on the history and tradition of Saitama soccer, and continues its daily activities with the hope that "REDS will spread happiness in everyday life" by developing sports culture, including soccer, which is a treasure of the region. .
