Reds SantaReds Santa

"Contributing to the sound development of youth" and "Providing a sound recreational space to the local community" are the basic activity policies of the Urawa Reds Philosophy.
Every Christmas season, we deliver Urawa Reds goods, sweets, toys, support items, etc. to children's cafeterias in Saitama City and surrounding areas. [REDS Santa] will expand the circle of activities while receiving activity funds, donations, and human cooperation from clubs, players, partner companies, and various other people.

REDS Santa Report

Friday, December 10th

We have safely delivered the donations collected at this year's "REDS Santa" to the stations (distribution bases) of children's cafeterias in two locations in Saitama City.
A total of approximately 200 cardboard boxes of donated goods were delivered to the two stations.

In the afternoon of the day, each children's cafeteria came to the station to pick up the donated items, and the club staff assisted in loading the vehicles and explaining the presents. We received words of gratitude from the people who came to pick us up.
And it seems that presents were distributed to the children from the evening of the same day at the earliest.

Saturday, December 11th

In the afternoon, at the Saitama Children's Cafeteria (Harayama, Midori-ku, Saitama City), an event was held to hand out Urawa Reds to the children.
On this day, Redia also rushed over and was delighted when the volunteers called her "cute". Not only did Redia actively communicate with the children by giving them high fives, hugs, and taking pictures, but she also made her presence known by exchanging greetings with passing cars that had nothing to do with her.

<Comment from Saitama Kodomo Shokudo representative Kaori Homma>
“As a company, Urawa Reds Urawa Reds is positioned as a company that participates in the same way. The memories of the experiences of meeting, going, and seeing are important, and I think the children who came here today will like Mr. Reds.Because we are in Urawa, we are in Saitama, so the Reds are also here. They will participate. Nothing makes me happier than this.”

December 14th (Tue)

In the evening, we had the opportunity to give presents to the children at the Zionji Kodomo Shokudo (Jionji Temple, Iwatsuki Ward, Saitama City), and Redia also participated.
The children reacted differently to Redia, being either frightened or doted on, but I think it turned out to be a "heartwarming gift" that would withstand the cold outside.

<Comment from Seiko Yamazumi, CEO of Zionji Kodomo Shokudo>
"Children who have fewer experiences due to the corona crisis, in addition to providing supplies, please provide 'support for experiences and experiences' like Heartful Care the other day and contact with Redia today. I am truly grateful and moved by everyone involved, including Urawa Reds Red Diamonds.”

This time, about 800 sets were donated to 27 children's cafeterias, but through this activity, I strongly feel the need to continue to support and expand the circle of activities.
