Regarding the opening of “Urawa Reds Academy Soccer School” and the first round of participant recruitment
The Urawa Reds Soccer School, now in its sixth year since its inception in 2019, will be renamed and re-launched as the new "Urawa Reds Academy Soccer School" in April 2024.
Up to now, Urawa Reds Soccer School has provided coaching centered on the acquisition of basic skills and the improvement of basic motor skills at Ohara Training Ground. While these activities are in line with the perpasses of "producing players who will play for top teams and in the world" and "enriching people and building character through soccer," and the club and coaching staff have made every effort to realize these goals, the narrow physical scope of our activities and limited teaching methods do not allow us to do so, However, due to the limited scope of our activities and limited coaching methods, we have not been able to fully meet the needs of a wide range of children and their parents, including those who want to enjoy playing soccer and those who seriously aim to become professional players.
In light of these issues, the "Urawa Reds Academy Soccer School" will focus on the following five main areas.
Major Focus Item 1
Inheriting the current Soccer Juku's purport of "producing players who will play for top teams and in the world" and "developing rich human resources and human formation through soccer," the Urawa Reds Academy's coaching method (Diamond Method) will be used as the core of the Urawa Reds Heart-full Club 's coaching method "Heartful Mind" and various other coaching methods developed by Urawa Reds will be used. The training will be conducted using various instructional methods developed by , including the "Heartful Mind" instructional method of .
Major Focus Item 2
We have added experienced coaches such as Atsushi Natori, a Urawa Reds alumnus, and Yoshikazu Iwasaki, a former Urawa Reds academy coach, to our coaching staff to provide higher quality coaching than ever before.
Major Focus Items3】 【Major Focus Items
We will offer three courses, "Basic Course," "Advanced Course," and "Special Course," according to the skills of the participants, and aim to provide an environment tailored as much as possible to the current situation and needs of the participants.
Major Focus Items 4】 【Major Focus Items
The target age range of participants will be expanded to include older children in addition to elementary school students and above, providing an appropriate instructional environment for children of a wider range of ages.
Major Focus Items5】 【Major Focus Items
By expanding the activity locations to Saitama City (Yono and Red's Land), Kumagaya City, Koshigaya City, and Sayama City in addition to the existing Ohara Training Ground, we will provide an environment where more children can participate without difficulty.
Urawa Reds Thanks to our predecessors, partners, hometown, and fans/supporters who have nurtured and carried on the 110-year history and tradition of Saitama soccer, the club "Urawa" has been able to exist as a member of "Urawa, the City of Soccer".
We hope to understand your thoughts and feelings and work together with you to realize a healthy and prosperous society.
In the future, we would like to produce "players from our town" who are active in Japan, Asia, and the world as players for Urawa Reds or Urawa Reds Ladies from among children who were exposed to sports and soccer through Urawa Reds Heart-full School by Urawa Reds Heart-full Club and this academy soccer school. We would like to realize this project as a form of repayment to the people of Urawa, the "City of Soccer.
Last but not least, we would like to thank everyone who has understood and cooperated with the operation of Urawa Reds Soccer Juku, as well as the students and their parents who have participated in the program.

■ Recruitment of School Students
The newly launched "Urawa Reds Academy Soccer School" will begin accepting its first round of applications for school students on Tuesday, February 6.
