(Manager)

"It was a game that took place at various times. I think our team also had two different periods of opportunity. For example, there were periods when we controlled the game, kept the ball, made side changes and used the space well, like the chance that Bryan Linssen had in added time in the first half. Yokohama F・Marinos were also a very dangerous team and created chances.

From a tactical perspective, we didn't do a very good job of what we were trying to do. For example, when the opponent passed the ball to the goalkeeper in a high press, we didn't press effectively enough. However, we knew that F.Marinos had a very strong attacking force, and we expected that there would be difficult times. Marius Hoibraten was unable to play today against the strong Anderson Lopes and Jan Matthäus, but I think Rikito Inoue and Yota Sato did a very good job. In the second half, when Thiago (Santana) pushed the ball in, it was offside by just a few centimeters.

We went into the match wanting to deliver our first victory at Nissan Stadium in six years to our fans and supporters, so of course we're not happy about the draw. However, comparing today's match with our last away game against Tokyo Verdy, we can be satisfied with the content. I think the players did their best. However, our opponent was very strong and we couldn't win.

There are 11 days until our next match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima. We all know how difficult this match will be. We want to prepare as well as possible for it."

Opponent team comment

John Hutchinson

(Manager)

"Before I reflect on the match, I would like to ask why the schedule could not be controlled, why we had to play on a Wednesday against this team that has a good record in J1. Wouldn't it have been fine to play on Friday or Saturday? We had to play this match with only two days in between. Three days ago in the Emperor's Cup semi-final, we played 120 minutes, and with a tight schedule, many people said to us, 'Your performance was good, but it was a shame.' As for (Anderson) Lopez, he has played 210 minutes over three days. Other players have played 120 minutes. Others have played 90 minutes. Taiki Iikura, who will turn 38, has also played over 200 minutes. Over three days. If the league's goal is to allow players to perform well safely, I think it would be fine for them to take this into consideration.

Of these 61 matches, 15 were played with two days between matches. There were 30 matches with three days between matches. I believe this country is the top league in Asia. That's why I accepted this offer, and I think that if this country and its people know how great the football played here is, and if they want this country to win the ACL (AFC Champions League) tournament to become number one in Asia, then I think they can help me.

After a short break, we will play against a Thai team in the ACL. A few days after that, we will play against Sagan Tosu (away). I really want to know why we have this schedule. I am really proud of the players on the pitch, and I really admire their attitude of not giving up and going for the win despite this tough schedule. Each and every player is really fighting, some players play for 5 minutes, others play for 120 minutes. As a coach, I am really working under this tough schedule. To repeat, the semi-final was held on Sunday, we suffered a disappointing loss, and in order to play today's game, I had to pull the players out and practice from the following Monday.

I think it was good that we were able to keep the score at zero. We also created chances to score goals. Watching today's game, I think each and every player did a really good job given the tough schedule, and I'm really proud of them when I watch this game.
