Coach Maciej Skorza post-match press conference against Yamagata

Emperor's Cup JFA 103rd All Japan Football Championship 3rd round match against Montedio Yamagata Comments after the match

“Today we were playing against a disciplined team who played very well and intensely.

In the first half, we weren't able to build up as we were trying to do, and we weren't able to create many chances. At halftime, we made three substitutions to inject some fresh energy into the match. At the same time, we were able to create some space, and (Ito) Atsuki showed his quality once again to score the winning goal. (Ohata) Ayumu had a chance, but we couldn't score another goal, so we played with responsibility until the very end.

It's a match that requires a lot of hard work, and I'm happy that we were able to achieve our goal of winning and advancing to the next round. Considering our situation today, I don't want to judge too much in terms of style. This was our 30th game of the season."

[Question-and-answer session]
(In the first half, what do you think was the reason why you weren't able to achieve the build-up you were aiming for?)
“In today’s match, the center backs changed, with (Alexander) Scholz, who always plays on the right side, playing on the left side, and (Takuya) Iwanami on the right side. I changed it a bit, but I think I wasn't able to play with confidence at first because I didn't have much time to practice when I had only 15 minutes to practice."
