"I have decided to retire at the end of the 2024 season.
25 years ago, from the moment I put on the uniform bearing this proud emblem, I was captivated by the club Urawa Reds and dreamed of becoming a professional soccer player.
From the moment I achieved my dream of becoming a player, I have run this far with only the desire to give back to this club by winning a title.
I was by no means able to give back much, but I believe I was able to show how I live my life as a professional soccer player named "Tomoya UGAJIN," as a person, and as a man of Urawa.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me during my happy 15 years as a professional soccer player.
