長沼洋一 J1リーグ通算100試合出場
Yoichi Naganuma played in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 8 match against Shimizu S-Pulse on the 2nd, achieving his 100th appearance in the J1 League.
Naganuma's first time playing in the J1 League was on March 10, 2022, when he was still with Sanfrecce Hiroshima, in the third round against Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. He was promoted from Hiroshima Youth to the top team in 2016. After that, he was unable to play in the J1 League for a year and a half, and spent three and a half years training in the J2 League with Montedio Yamagata, FC Gifu, and Ehime FC. It was in his sixth year of professional career that he first stepped onto the J1 League pitch.
It took some time for him to make his first appearance, but since then he has steadily increased his opportunities to play, appearing in 86 games for Hiroshima and Sagan Tosu. Then, in August 2024, he joined the Reds with the thought, "I think everyone thinks that Urawa Reds is a really good and attractive club, but I want to see how much I can do with the Reds what I did with Sagan Tosu."
His first appearance in the J1 League with the Reds was just over 10 days after his announcement. Coincidentally, the opponent was an away game against Tosu, the team he had played for until just three weeks earlier.
Since then, while playing for the Reds mainly as a fullback, he is capable of playing in any position, and even though his basic position is on the wing, he is skilled enough to move inside and play, making 11 appearances in the J1 League.
This season, he came on as a substitute in the opening match against Vissel Kobe, and played the full game as a left fullback in the third round match Shonan Bellmare. He then played his 100th J1 League match in the eighth round match against Shimizu S-Pulse.
How many games will he play for the Reds in the future? Able to change positions and play like a chameleon, Naganuma will surely be able to fulfill the role required at the time and contribute to the Reds' victory.
