Announcement of "Let's learn more about guide dogs ~Welcome! Guide Dogs~" event on May 26th (Sun) at Machida
We are pleased to announce that as part of Urawa Reds' SDGs, at the 2024 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Round 16 match against FC Machida Zelvia [MATCH PARTNER Kokudai Seminar] on Sunday, May 26th, we will be holding a assistance dog awareness event, "We want you to know more about guide dogs - Welcome! Assistance Dogs."
Assistance dogs are guide dogs, service dogs, and hearing dogs that support people with disabilities in their eyes, ears, or limbs, and are important partners that help people with disabilities become independent and participate in society. Based on the Assistance Dogs for the Physically Disabled Act, they receive the necessary training, and their users participate in society while taking responsibility for managing the hygiene and behavior of their assistance dogs. Furthermore, facilities that accept them are obligated by law to accept assistance dogs.
Urawa Reds aims to create a stadium that everyone can enjoy, "REDS WONDERLAND," and has been considering ways to ensure that people with assistance dogs can enjoy watching the games with peace of mind. Starting from the 2024 season, we have begun offering "wheelchair seats" where assistance dogs can sit comfortably at your feet, as well as introducing the "Universal Manners Test" for club staff, a first for a J.League club, and cooperating in the implementation of a guide dog user acceptance seminar for Urawa Reds supporters' association stewards (volunteers).
Now, with the hope that as many people as possible will learn more about assistance dogs and that together we can create a stadium and city filled with smiles, Urawa Urawa Reds will be holding an assistance dog awareness event with the cooperation of the Japan Guide Dog Association, a public interest incorporated foundation.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

・Even if a service dog is with you, there will be times when they need your support. If you see a dog in trouble, please communicate with them by asking, "Can I help you with anything?"
