Special event for children on Saitama Prefecture Day: "Let's go to Saitama Stadium on the players' bus!"
On the 14th, in celebration of Saitama Prefecture Day, the club organised a tour of the players' bus to give children in their hometown a special experience and instill hope and dreams.
Although the team bus that the players usually ride on has had visitors tour the interior in the past, it is the first time that anyone other than Urawa Reds players and team staff has ever ridden on it, and this was the first time that it was operated with children on board. On this day, the Urawa Reds player bus made four round trips between Urawa Misono Station and Saitama Stadium, and 93 children participated in this event.
After checking in at the Urawa Misono Station rotary, the children boarded the players' bus while saying goodbye to their families. The children boarded the bus with a mixture of excitement and nervousness on their faces, and the faces of their families watching them also showed a variety of emotions.
As the bus departed Urawa Misono Station, interviews with the three players and video messages for children prepared for the day were shown on monitors.
The children were fascinated to learn where the players usually sit, what they do on the bus on the way to the stadium, and what the view from the bus is like.
The children then arrived at the stadium and were given a tour by team staff.
The children were excited when they reached the locker room following the same path as the players on game day. They took photos in the locker room, decorated with Urawa Reds uniforms from the past, and enjoyed a special experience learning about the players' behind-the-scenes through explanations and quizzes from team staff about how the lockers are used on game days and the equipment prepared for each player. In the locker room, they enjoyed the atmosphere while imagining the tension on game day and the players' preparations.
Finally, a commemorative photo was taken in front of the players' bus, and the special event for the day came to a close.
