Announcement of approval of Kenta Nemoto as a JFA/J.League special designated player

Urawa Reds Red Diamonds have applied to sign Kenta Nemoto, a player from Ryukoku University, as a "2024 JFA/J.League Special Designated Player" and the application has been approved by the Japan Football Association.

The purpose is to provide an environment that matches each individual's abilities, regardless of the type of sport or federation, during the period when soccer players develop most rapidly.
Overview Student athletes who belong to teams affiliated with the All Japan University Football Federation, the All Japan High School Athletic Federation Soccer Club, or teams run by universities (school corporations) other than J.League clubs, or players who belong to teams affiliated with the Japan Club Youth Soccer Federation, are eligible to play in J.League and other matches while remaining registered with their team. Only players who are certified by the JFA will be able to play in these matches.
