"Firstly, I would like to thank the club for entrusting me with the role of manager of Urawa Reds.
I am delighted and deeply honoured to be once again part of this great, ambitious club, with so many fantastic fans and supporters.
I take up my post in the middle of a challenging season but I count on the professionalism of the players, team staff and all club staff.
We must build a strong team with good team spirit as quickly as possible in order to compete for the top spot in the J.League this season and achieve our goals next season when we compete in the Club World Cup.
I believe that together with all our fans and supporters, we can make steady progress, step by step, day by day, game by game. And I promise to do my best to help Urawa Reds shine.
We can't wait to hear 'We are Reds!' again at Magic Stadium."
